We are happy to announce that The Substation will not be closing down. A lot of consideration and factors have led to this decision after our earlier announcement. The closure of the building this month has been extremely moving as memories are shared - so many people have had their beginnings at 45 Armenian Street as both an artist and even an audience. Including myself and all of us who have been fortunate enough to work here.

As we face the impending change together, we hope this good news will allow us to feel hopeful about the Singapore arts scene. That in our landscape today, this decision to continue The Substation despite all the challenges ahead, allows us to dream and work for the Singapore arts environment that we want and need to thrive in.

While Substation 2.0 does not yet have a new home, the vision of providing a platform for emerging and independent artists' will continue. It will not be an easy path by any means. Your support will be imperative for this new beginning, continuing to serve the vision and dream that started at 45 Armenian Street.
