The Substation is accepting submissions for the new Sound Art Open Call 2011. The Substation Open Call programme was first initiated in 2008 to support and realise strongly artistic, critical and rigorous visual arts proposals, and was expanded into performing arts in 2010. About the Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters
The Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters is The Substation’s new music and sonic arts programme, which will present a curated series of performances on the first Saturday of every month from October to December 2010. The Substation has invited a selection of the finest emerging and established sound artists, bands and collectives to challenge the deifnition of home-grown music and performance. After this final performance for 2010, Tribal Gathering of Tongue Tasters will resume in April 2011.
