First Take, happening every first Monday of the month, is a regular platform for new and first-time filmmakers to show their work and share ideas with other filmmakers and audiences. This programme was inspired by discussions with local filmmakers and Moving Images supporters and provides a vital and vitalizing forum for new and first-time local filmmakers.

Celebrating its 7th edition this year, Singapore Short Cuts continues to be one of the most popular and widely anticipated showcases of local short films in Singapore.

This year’s programme features a diverse selection of some of the most innovative and outstanding recent Singapore short films as well as a retrospective of Singapore filmmaker K. Rajagopal, a three-time recipient of the Special Jury Award for the Singapore Short Film Category at the Singapore International Film Festival.

All screenings will be followed by discussions with the filmmakers. Details

Come and experience an exploratory form of cinema with The Substation at the inaugural Experimental Film Forum. Organised and presented by The Substation Moving Images, this forum aims to put the spotlight on experimental films, a largely neglected area in film making. Congrats to PROJECT: SlingSHORT!

Congratulations to PROJECT: slingSHORT for their successful screening on Friday 26th February!

The 5th edition of PROJECT: slingSHORT held at the The Singapore High Commission in London was a roaring success. This screening was oversubscribed and tickets were sold out just 3 weeks after announcements. The evening screening was attended by 90 guest, the largest in attendance for a PROJECT: slingSHORT screening till date. This screening was graced by His Excellency, The Singapore High Commissioner to London, Mr Michael Teo and Mrs Teo.
