When you said I do, I stood there, frozen, as I am transformed by your will to perform an act, an act to perform but one that does not act, does not perform.
When you said I do and not do, anything, what are you doing? Your speech-act marks an emptiness of action as well as an act of fulfillment. It bonds me to you and we go in search for us… until death do us part. Yet in this momentous shift, at this moment, nothing happens. You do nothing, and neither do I.
But something happens, something moves when we fail, when I do does not produce us.
