Internships and Volunteers:

Working with The Substation provides exposure to the entire arts community in Singapore. As an intern, you have the opportunity to interact with programmers of arts events, artists/performers, as well as get acquainted with the workings of Singapore’s first non-profit arts centre.

As an intern or volunteer, you will learn about the less-than-glamorous processes behind the curating, promotion and archival documentation of arts and arts events—so get ready to get your hands dirty. With an internship at The Substation, you gain experiences and acquire administrative skills that will help in a professional career in the arts. Workload may include organising and distributing publicity material, assisting managers in an administrative capacity, to gallery-sitting and front-of-house activities.
