By Associate Artist Ming Poon
Saturday 21 May 2011, 7-8pm
The Substation Dance Studio
Admission: Free and open to the general public

This is the first phase of a 5-phase research project. This lecture-performance will introduce the central research theme: people living with HIV and hiddenness.

Hello, my name is Ming Poon, an Associate Artist of The Substation. I am currently working on an art research project that deals with people living with HIV and the theme of hiddenness. This project is a collaboration with Action for Aids (AfA). No other group of people in Singapore is as consistently, unanimously and completely hidden and silent as people living with HIV are. For this art research project, I am looking into this phenomenon of hiding and to discover the human being hidden behind the anonymity.

For this purpose, I would like to invite the following people to share their stories and experiences with me: People living with HIV, and family members, caregivers, nurses, social workers, buddies, friends or anyone with a direct relation to people living with HIV.

If you are interested to participate or simply want to know more (without committing to anything), please contact me at mingapura@gmail.com

I’d also like to invite you to join me for a talk after the lecture-performance, to find out more about the project.

Participation is based on informed consent
Identities of participants will be kept confidential and anonymous
