sub_space is The Substation’s visual arts programme and Performance Lab is The Substation’s performing arts programme.
The Substation aims to encourage, challenge, support and nurture emerging and established artists in their practice. We give artists the time and space to explore, research and refine their craft and develop new work and believe that the artistic process is just as important as the resulting work.
As Kuo Pao Kun said, “A worthy failure is more important than a mediocre success”.
The Substation can tailor sponsorships that are specifically aimed at supporting artists through our sub-space and Performance Lab programmes.
