Frustrated with their poverty, Ah Shui is forced to leave his hometown to work as a labourer in a foreign land, leaving hapless Ah Shan behind. As life continues in the doldrums, Ah Shui longs for the touch of a woman and Ah Shan yearns for the love of her man. A tragic end awaits as the pair deems the separation too unbearable.

3. THE UNNAMED FEELING/ LER AND LIP/ 15 MIN/ 2009/ PG

4. FOR RENT/ GOH MOY YEN/ 19 MIN/ 2009/ PG

Many Singaporeans take home ownership for granted, living comfortably in their Housing and Development Board flat. Within their well-developed housing estates, they do not notice their lesser counterparts who rent subsidized one/two room flats from the government. For these small living spaces, some struggle to pay the seemingly measly monthly rental fees. For Rent attempts to paint a clearer picture of the challenges that this forgotten community face, and sheds light on underlying social issues that a common Singaporean tends to neglect.

5. IS THERE MONEY IN THIS?/ TAN SIANG YU/ 6 MIN/ 2009/ PG

Is There Money In This? is an award-winning comedy about two amateur robbers and their attempt to rob, with hilarious consequences.
