If you have never done Hatha Yoga before, we want togive you the time and space where you can feel totally comfortable to begin this journey.
Through the beginner's yoga, you will be taught at the following:
- Pawanmuktasana - Series of practices to remove wind trapped, energy blockages and strengthening of digestive system of the body.
- Asanas or Postures - Simple standing, sitting and lying postures to stretch the body awareness.
- Pranayama (Breathing Techniques) – Getting in touch with the respiratory system. Basic breathing techniques practiced consciously with awareness will rid of sluggishness and lethargy of the mind. Normally we breathe unconsciously. There is a subtle component in the air besides oxygen, the Prana “vital life force energy” that actually keeps us alive.
- Relaxation- The most important practice in yoga. “Icing on the cake”. The whole body that has stretched in various positions and through breathing techniques where the prana has been regulated, during relaxation we will learn to relax and allow the body muscles to completely let go. With conscious effort we will learn to slow down the breath, eventually the mind becomes peaceful and the body learns to relax. The body starts to harmonise, rejuvenate and heals.
Please wear comfortable clothing in which you can move freely. Yoga mat will be individually provided.
