Butoh is a mesmerizing, powerful and poetic dance created in Japan after WWII. It is a unique movement that is not dictated from the outside, but comes from the inner world of each individual. In Butoh, one lets the body be moved by memories, feelings, and stories, through imagery and by letting go of one’s daily mind and consciousness. Butoh is a journey through the rhythm of our bodies and the universe, bringing freedom in expression and in the way we perceive ourselves. It takes us to a place where everything is possible. Butoh can be both a healing and creative process.
By bringing awareness to the body and away from boundaries of the ego and the mind, learn to connect to yourself and your environment; unearth and release tensions buried deep in your body and mind. Liberate yourself from emotional and physical stress and communicate with yourself, others, and your surroundings in a new and novel way. This workshop requires no dance experience. Anyone who would like to explore their hidden creative potentials is welcome. What to bring: curiosity, willingness to move, comfortable clothes and bare feet.

Continuum is a sound and movement technique that enhances mobility, healing and growth whether physical or emotional. This method reminds us that our bodies are primarily water which can be shaped with sound and breath. During this class, we start by bringing consciousness and awareness to our bodies and our environment. We slowly take this awareness deep into the body, at a cellular level. With different sound frequencies, learn to stimulate internal sensations and responses which eventually lead to movement.

Your breath is your most intimate companion. Health, vitality, abundance, and love are within your reach! Rapid-fire multitasking and work stress can cause your breathing to become shallow, delivering less oxygen to your brain, increasing blood pressure, and hyping up your nervous system. To center yourself on the intimate moment at hand and invigorate your mind, you just need to breathe. Taking conscious breathing breaks is one of the easiest things you can do to shift your experience and make it more fulfilling. Learn how you can live in ecstatic bliss every day, feeling more positive, supported by life, and enjoying each breath you take.
“The more relaxed our body remains, the more our sexual motions reflect the vast consciousness that is the source of our being. The more fully our breath circulates through our body, the more our love can unfold through every gyration and moan.” – David Deida
