Associate Artists / Film / Sun Koh
Sun Koh is the first and only Singaporean to-date to win the coveted Silver Hugo with her short film "The Secret Heaven" at the Chicago International Film Festival in 2002. It is the very same award that Martin Scorsese won with his first film.
Sun is known for her humanistic approach to every subject she tackles. Her creativity and uniqueness of vision is validated by both the commercial and independent circles, being the visionary who has consistently pitched and won the highest awarded budgets for several high profile made-for-TV projects, as well as the recipient of the first batch of short film grants given out by the Singapore Film Commission.
In 2003, Sun was selected to attend the inaugural session of the Berlinale Talent Campus chaired by renowned director Wim Wenders. She is also a representative of the first Singapore contingent at the recent Cannes Film Festival 2006.
