Kelvin graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Film Production (Directing major) at Ngee Ann Polytechnic after receiving the Media Education Scheme Award from the Media Development Authority (MDA) of Singapore. His 2005 short film "More Than Words", a tribute to the late Asian songstress Teresa Teng, has been officially invited to be screened and compete at film festivals around the world including Italy, Germany, Canada, United Kingdom, Romania and Africa. In 2006, Kelvin was awarded the Script Development Grant by the Singapore Film Commission to develop "More Than Words" into a feature film screenplay. 

Besides "More Than Words", Kelvin's 2006 short film "Kichiro", a homage to Japanese ultra-violent cult films, has been screened at the prestigious Beijing Film Academy and has recently ended its run in the international film festival circuit. 

Kelvin has been actively involved in various film productions, particularly in the areas of screenwriting, directing and producing while developing "More Than Words" into a feature film. He also serves as Acting Coach, Film Instructor and Creative Consultant to various institutions and companies.
