CALL FOR ENTRIES: First ever Singapore Short Film Awards 2010!

An entire week of short film screenings every night showcasing all Singaporean short films produced in 2009!
Deadline extended till 28 December 2009! Also, there is a change regarding the criteria for submissions. Instead of made in 2009, we will now be accepting films made in 2008/ 2009. But they must have been released after 1 January 2009 i.e. first screened publicly in 2009.
The Singapore Short Film Awards will re-cap all that’s happened in the Singapore short film scene in 2009! It’ll be a screening for posterity’s sake, nostalgia or just for the hectic of experiencing a slice of yesteryear on film. There will be screenings, awards, winners and prizes! Submit your film for consideration in the following categories:
1. Best Director
2. Best Animation
3. Best Fiction
4. Best Documentary
5. Best Editing
6. Best Soundtrack
7. Best Art Direction
8. Best Cinematography
9. Best Performance
10. Best Script
An Honorary Award will also be presented to a Singapore filmmaker who has contributed significantly to the film community through his/her short films.
If you have made a short film, no longer than 30 minutes, in 2008/2009, but screened publicly only in 2009, we want to see it! It can be in the running for the Singapore Short Film Awards 2010!

Films made in 2008/2009 but only screened publicly in 2009 can qualify to enter.
Submission fee of SGD10 applicable. Cheques to be made payable to The Substation Ltd.
Fee will be waived for films screened at The Substation as part of Moving Images, Associate Artists and Fly By Night participants.
Collective submissions done through schools will receive a 50% discount off the submission fee.
