Dear Grace is Harman Omar's directorial debut. ITE College West's Digital Audio and Video Production course has given him an opportunity to lead his peers for this end of semester short film project.

For Two

Inspired by true events, For Two is a story about relationships and their inherent illusions. A lonely widower lives in his sparse apartment, still longing for his deceased wife. Living secretly in his house, however, is a woman, who takes part in this life with him, taking care of the home when he is not around. When the fragile reality of this life 'together' threatens to become too real for either to confront, both Man and Woman must react.

Born 1981 in Singapore, Shijie read Philosophy at the city-state's National University before going on to make short films in 2008. In that same year, he was awarded a national film scholarship to pursue his interests in cinema, and now is a student in the Graduate Film Program at New York University's Tisch School of Arts Asia, in Singapore. To date, Shijie has directed 3 short films, which have been screened at festivals both local and abroad. Er Ren (For Two) is his latest work, which was part of the Official Selection for the 66th Venice Film Festival, where it competed with films all over the world for the Corto Cortissimo Lion.
